Chanda O Chanda
Year: 1971
Movie: Lakhon Mein Ek
Music: RD Burman
Lyrics: Anand Bakshi
Singers: Kishore Kumar/Lata Mangeshkar
A beautiful song composed by Pancham, which is different from many of his compositions due to the fact that the emphasis is more on the voices rather than the music. This song has two versions, one each by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar.
I am presenting here the version by Kishore Kumar, who keeping the tone and tune of the song intact gave this one his own style making this one as immortal as all his others with RD.
The track is a scale lower than the original so it might sound a bit demure but I have tried to keep the flavor of the original hope you all will like it. As always comments and feedback are very much welcome.

Shubho,
Nicely sung! I love both versions of this song! You have done justice to Kishore Da's version.

Shubho-
I came here from Piya-Deb's PodioIndia.com page. This used to be one of my most favorite RDB+KK songs, it still is! Liked your rendition; you have a nice voice. I plan to do this number shortly for my blog page (asim-ghosh.blogspot.com).
One quick suggestion, next time try to shorten the tail end of the echo/reverb. BTW, Ek Roz Main TaDap Kar was nice too!

Asim

Thanks Asim, Actually I was using the preset values for the echo so thats why the tail is too long, appreciate your suggestion, next time it will be better:)
Thanks for taking time to go through my blog.

Still not up to it with kishore... you sound rather struggling in rendering this easy soft number.I don't care what others say but I am a singer as well.Having said that there are times when you are almost bearable
I know I am too sarcastic and disheartening but remember critics are your best friend.

I really appreciate your feedback but if you see I have never claimed that I am anywhere near a singer who can be even be compared to even a speck of the Great Kishoreda. If you are comparing me with him then that in itself makes me a singer who has any stature to be compared. I have said before that never have I tried to copy the Great singer and never ever will I do that consciously or subconsciously. The songs which are presented here are my own; sung the way I can and nothing more. But yes I do appreciate any feedback positive or negative as it helps in improving my skills to the extent which is possible within my limits. Thank you again.
